These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using the Moneypod app and related services. By installing, accessing, or using the app, users are deemed to accept these terms.
If users do not accept these terms, they should stop using the app.
1. About the App
Moneypod is a personal finance app for recording and managing financial information, such as:
- Income, expenses, and transfers
- Wallets or accounts
- Budgets, goals, debts, installments, and recurring transactions
- Notes and financial reports
- Image attachments and receipt scanning
- Voice entry for income and expenses
- Data export and subscriptions
The app is only a tool for recording and organizing information. It is not any of the following services:
- Financial or banking service
- Investment advisor
- Tax advisor
- Accountant
- Legal advisor
2. User Accounts and Sign-In
Users may need to sign in to use certain features, such as cloud syncing, subscriptions, or data recovery across devices.
Users are responsible for keeping their account, email, device, and sign-in methods secure. If users notice unusual activity or suspect unauthorized access to their account, they should contact the developer as soon as possible.
The service provider may suspend or restrict account usage if the account is used in violation of these terms, affects system security, or violates applicable laws.
3. Information Entered by Users
Users are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of information they record, upload, or create in the app, including financial information, images, receipts, notes, categories, tags, recurring transactions, and other related information.
Users should review information before saving it or using it for decision-making. The service provider does not guarantee that information calculated, displayed, summarized, or categorized by the app will be accurate or complete in all cases.
4. Recurring Transactions and Automation
The app may support recurring transaction settings and may use cloud-based automation to create income, expense, or transfer records according to schedules configured by users.
Users are responsible for reviewing information related to recurring transactions, such as:
- Date
- Amount
- Account
- Category
- Results generated by the system
The automated system may run late, fail, create duplicate records, or create records that do not match user expectations for several reasons, such as:
- User settings
- System limitations
- Internet connectivity
- Outages or issues with third-party services
If users find an incorrect record, they should edit or delete that record in the app themselves.
5. Receipt Scanning, Voice Entry, and AI
5.1 Receipt Scanning
The receipt scanning feature uses OCR/AI to help read text or information from images, such as store name, date, item list, amount, discount, or other information shown on the receipt.
OCR/AI results may not always be accurate or complete. Users must review and correct the information before saving it. The service provider is not responsible for damages arising from the use of unreviewed results.
Users should not upload images they do not have the right to use, images that violate the rights of others, or information that is inappropriate under applicable laws.
5.2 Voice Entry
Voice entry uses Google's AI service to create income and expense drafts from the user's speech for review before confirming and saving. The app may display live text from the system's speech recognition service. Live text is provided for display during the session; draft generation uses the audio sent for processing.
Transcripts and AI results may be inaccurate or incomplete, including transaction names, amounts, dates, transaction types, wallets, or categories. The system may select default values when information is unclear. Users must review and correct drafts before confirming and saving them. Live text does not confirm the accuracy of the transactions to be saved.
Availability of live text and processing may vary by device, operating system, language, speech recognition provider, and internet connectivity. Voice entry may still capture audio and create drafts when live text is unavailable. Duration, item count, or request limits may apply as determined by the app.
Users must have the right to provide audio and related information and should not submit another person's voice or personal information without appropriate permission. The Privacy Policy of Moneypod describes data sent to external providers and its retention.
6. Reports, Calculations, and Tax Information
Reports, charts, financial summaries, budget calculations, tax calculations, or other analytical information in the app are provided only to help users manage their personal information.
The service provider does not guarantee that reports or calculations in the app are accurate according to accounting, tax, legal, or any government authority requirements.
Users should review the information themselves and consult relevant professionals before using the information for purposes such as:
- Filing taxes
- Accounting
- Financial decision-making
- Use as legal evidence
7. Export and Backup
The app may include data export features, such as reports or data files in formats supported by the app. Users are responsible for storing, using, and sharing files exported from the app.
Although the app may support syncing or storing data in the cloud, users should back up important data as appropriate. The service provider does not guarantee that data will never be lost, damaged, or unrecoverable in all cases.
If a user selects Google Drive as a backup or restore destination, Moneypod requests access only to its hidden application data folder (appDataFolder) through the drive.appdata permission. This access is used solely to create, list, download, and delete Moneypod backup files. It does not allow the app to access other ordinary files in the user’s Google Drive.
Users are responsible for verifying that their backups are complete before deleting original data. Revoking Google access, deleting a Moneypod account, or uninstalling the app may not automatically delete existing backup files in Google Drive. Details about the use and handling of Google user data are described in the Moneypod Privacy Policy.
8. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
The app may include usage options or in-app purchases, such as:
- Free features
- Premium features
- Monthly subscriptions
- Yearly subscriptions
- Lifetime access
- Add-on purchases, such as themes
Items, prices, durations, and usage rights may vary by platform, country, or time period.
Payments are processed through the App Store or Google Play depending on the platform used by the user. The service provider does not directly store users' credit card information or payment details.
Subscriptions may renew automatically according to the terms of the App Store or Google Play. Users can manage, cancel, or restore purchases through their account on the relevant platform or through features supported by the app.
Deleting the app from a device does not cancel a subscription. Users must cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play themselves.
Refunds are subject to the policies and processes of the App Store or Google Play. The service provider may not be able to approve or process refunds on behalf of those platforms.

It does not mean that the service provider guarantees that the following will be provided forever without changes:
- App
- Features
- System
- Third-party services
9. Prohibited Use
Users agree not to use the app in the following ways:
- Use the app for illegal activities, to violate the rights of others, or to deceive others
- Attempt to access, modify, destroy, or interfere with systems, data, or accounts of others without authorization

Some features may depend on third-party services such as Firebase, Google Cloud, App Store, or Google Play. If those third-party services experience issues, change their terms, or stop providing services, some app features may be affected.
11. Account Deletion and Termination of Use
Users can delete their account and data within the app according to the process supported by the app. Users may be required to re-authenticate or confirm the deletion request before the process is completed.
When an account is deleted, data related to the account will be deleted according to the process supported by the app.
However, some information may continue to be retained as necessary, such as:
- Information required to comply with the law
- Information required to review disputes
- Information required to verify purchases or subscriptions
- Information required to prevent fraud
- Information that temporarily remains according to the system backup cycle
Users may stop using the app at any time. However, deleting the app from a device may not automatically delete the account, cloud data, or subscription.
12. Privacy
The collection, use, storage, disclosure, and protection of user data are governed by the Privacy Policy of Moneypod, which is a separate document from these Terms and Conditions.
Users should read the Privacy Policy to understand what information is collected, used, and processed.
Acceptance of these general terms does not replace microphone or speech recognition permission, or specific consent to send personal data to external AI services where such consent is required by applicable law or platform requirements.
13. Limitation of Liability
The service provider provides the app on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
To the extent permitted by law, the service provider is not responsible for damages arising from the following:
- Direct or indirect damages

If there are significant changes, the service provider will notify users through appropriate channels, such as within the app or other relevant channels. Continued use of the app after the updated terms become effective will be deemed acceptance of the updated terms.
